Clean heels:)

A couple months ago, my boyfriend and I attended the most beautiful wedding in Carpenteria, CA . It was an outdoor wedding that took place at the Rose Story Farm. The newlyweds were smart and gave guests a heads up by recommending that you don't wear stiletto heels! When we arrived at the location, I was really glad I wore platform wedges instead because nothing there was paved! I felt so bad for the guests that still wore stilettos and watched as they struggled on the pebbled paths and had their heels sink deep into the moist grass. Although Rose Story Farm is an exquisite backdrop to any wedding, I would imagine that manolo loving brides hoping to wed here are sad to kiss their gorgeous shoes goodbye.
Well, I just found an amazing solution for all you brides out there having outdoor weddings! They're called Solemates! The Solemate high heeler attaches to the bottom of your stiletto and prevents you from sinking in the grass and getting your shoes dirty! What a marvelous idea! I like the clear ones best:) You can find them at www.thesolemates.com!

I do...Mr. President

When I came across these fabulous pictures of our president's nuptials to our first lady, I had to share them with you all. Although I am so inspired by Mr. Obama's vision and passion for our country, it's his adoration for Mrs. Obama that makes him stand out even more in my book! Here's a look into their wedding day on October 3, 1992.

Grey's Anatomy Sneak Peek!

I've been following Grey's Anatomy since the very first season, and I'll have to say that when I heard a Meredith and Derek wedding may happen on the 100th episode, I was thrilled! My thursday night guilty pleasure never ceases to surprise me though. Who knows what twists and turns writer Shonda Rhimes will throw at us! Below is a sneak peek of Meredith's dress if she really does marry McDreamy, and live happily ever after with him at Seattle Grace!

I, Bella, take thee Edward...

Cullen Wedding
Cullen Wedding by Simplysmittenbrides on Polyvore.com
I created this based on Bella and Edward's wedding in the final installment of the Twilight series, "Breaking Dawn." As a die hard fan of all chick lit, this series makes the top of my list! I too, have been so touched by this impossible, irrevocable tale of love that seemed to defy all odds. For all you girls looking to incorporate a little twilight in your wedding, here's some inspiration! Notice I even used the same flowers from the book: roses, orange blossom, and freesia. XOXO

Scentematography

There's a tickle in my nose whenever I walk into a luxury hotel or high end department store because of the unique, yet luring scent each of them have. It's a marketing ploy to stimulate all of your senses to make your experience with them truly unforgettable. I'm probably most affected by the soothing scent of a Burke Williams day spa. Anytime I get that familiar waft of eucalyptus and citrus, my mind dozes off to that same serene feeling I get every time I visit that heavenly place. I've recently come across a company in Los Angeles, called Scent Events, that allows you to give the guests at your wedding the same captivating impression, by perfuming your ceremony and reception. A bride and groom can customize a scent that will be carried throughout their event, or choose from a variety of already crafted scents. The smell of your bouquet, wedding cake, or specialty cocktail can even be incorporated. Just another way to make your wedding even more memorable. You can find them at www.scentevents.com.
